With some unexpected delay - due to the very busy end-of-year period - the Belgian Alfa Matrix label announces that its massive 4CD box set 'Electronic Body Matrix 1' has arrived in stock. Officially out tomorrow, the label has already sent out all pre-orders.
The box set features a real "Who's Who?" artist selection and the first volume of this new compilation series will be qualified by many as the ultimate anthology of the EBM/electro-industrial scene. Expect 72 bands (!) across four CDs plus an exclusive download card giving you access to another 40 additional bands! All in all, 112 songs of which 70% are rare or previously unreleased. The set is released as a deluxe carton box with an extensive 28-page booklet with band pictures and credits designed by the American artist Greg Rolfes.
You can get the full track list of this massive set at the dedicated page www.alfa-matrix.com/ebm1, which is also the place for people to redeem their extra download.
"Electronic Body Matrix" actually also marks Alfa Matrix's ten years of existence. Created in early 2001, the Brussels-based label released its first product that August. Alfa Matrix profiled its concept by releasing most of its albums as limited editions available in deluxe DVD boxes, later carton boxes, holding a bonus disc with exclusive tracks and mixes and additional promotional items.
Black Leather Records presents BLR055 Kaball - No Time (courtesy of Black Montanas). Collaborations with Nad Mika , Yasmin Gate & Distant Visions. Includes remix by Equitant. OUT NOW @ Beatport
You don't exactly expect hard techno-EBM coming from Texas (USA), and yet Equitant is a project that has actually been active since the early 1990’s. Equitant stands for high-tech & modern techno-EBM, and can be defined as an offspring between bands like Nitzer Ebb & DAF at one side, and a darkened Giorgio Moroder at the other.
